Great little place in a very pretty location, comfortable room and bed, free WiFi, laid back with no fuss, help yourself breakfast, Sean is an excellent host and very obliging. Nice friendly local bar downstairs.

The hosts are really nice. They saw me walking down the hill and the lady got in the car to open the door for me. Sean gave me a lift back to the wicklow way trail the next day. Central House has everything you need for a comfortable stay during your hike.

Location was great as we were hiking the Wicklow Way. Sean, the owner/proprietor looked after all our needs including rides to nearby Tinahely for dinner and back to the trailhead in the morning. Breakfast was just "okay" but all of the other positive aspects made up for it.

Close to Wicklow Way and in town centre. Communal room for self serve breakfast, well supplied including provisions for making a packed lunch. Ideal if walking the Wicklow Way.

Staff is very friendly. For breakfast, you can help yourself; there is everything for a continental breakfast; plus different muesli/cornflakes.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Central house in the pretty village of Shillelagh while hiking the Wicklow Way. The rooms are bright, modern, spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and the bed is very comfortable. I l really loved the common room where guests could meet and chat, it is a really lovely space. Great breakfast too. The owner is friendly and helpful and I highly recommend staying in Central house if visiting the area.
