The Cross Scythes was warm and welcoming, the food offered was well presented and sufficiently varied, given that they were on the cusp between menus.

The staff were very friendly and we had a very enjoyable evening meal and slept well. The room was nice and quiet even though it looked onto an A road.

The location was perfect as our son just lives near. Unfortunately this trip was to see him in Northern General after major surgery but will now be perfect for future visits to him. For us to stay here & leave him to his own personal space. Plus little getaway at a lovely friendly place with good food

Excellent breakfast, offering all the choices that suit me. All staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable room with everything we needed. The balcony was a great bonus to the room, giving a lovely open aspect with good views, and a rare treat for my smoking husband to be able to step out there rather than go all the way out of the hotel!

Helpful attentive staff. Great food, both dinner and breakfast. Great location for anyone happy to be away from a busy city centre with nice comfortable rooms

The location on the edge of Sheffield was fine, though being on a main road there was quite a lot of traffic noise. The bed was comfortable and the room warm.
