We had such a relaxed stay where we could come and go as we pleased. Our hosts were simply wonderful, helpful and communicated really well prior to and during our stay. It was spotless, the breakfast was delicious and the bed was comfortable. It was a hot week and access to the dining room fridge was welcome including bottles of cold water to use as we pleased. Our room also had a fan which was welcome. All our needs were catered for including dietary requirements, car parking, local information and ferry bookings. Thank you for looking after us so well :)

Arrived to a warm and friendly welcome from John, room was excellent, clean and spacious plenty of room for all our clutter, John was very knowledgeable about eateries and who was worth visiting for dinner in the Old Town, Breakfast was fantastic great variety and choice all cooked to a tee, nice to have a chin wag with John and Hayley when time allowed, we would highly recommend the Ryedale if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Shanklin we will certainly be staying there again on our next trip. Big bonus is having your breakfast cooked by a Colin Firth lookalike.

A wonderful 4night stay at the Ryedale B &B. John & Hayley were fabulous hosts who gave you a varied selection for breakfast from cereals upto a full English breakfast yummy! The room was comfortable with tea & coffee at our disposal. Would certainly recommend for a break in Shanklin

Room and bathroom were spotless. Breakfast was lovely with a good preorder system. Owners couldn’t be more helpful with local knowledge and good restaurant recommendations.

The Ryedale was a Victorian house, it was well decorated and had original features, our bedroom was at the back of the house which overlooked a pretty garden and a church in the background

All over it was very good for location quality cleanliness welcoming value for money and single room was very much needed to keep value for money. Many more properties should cater for solo traveller very friendly hosts.
