Location was brilliant, room was comfortable and large, balcony was nice to have. Toilet was stained as it looked like it hadn’t been used in a while. We asked for room to be made up as we had run out of toiletries and tea bags, but they made the bed up and never left any top ups of anything. There was a party on the Saturday night and the music was very loud and people were a little rowdy outside the front of the hotel, but it did stop promptly at 11:30pm. So wasn’t too inconvenient.

The hotel is fresh and modern. I loved the decor and interior of my room. The bar/dining area is a pleasant place to have breakfast/drink. This hotel definitely stands out from its competition in the area - very few hotels on the island have the boutique appeal that this one does! The staff were also welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. Big kudos to the team! I booked the ‘Deluxe Double Bedroom’, which was room 26 on the fourth (top) floor. The room was clean and had all the facilities I needed for my three night stay. The bed was super comfortable and as a result, I slept very well! The bathroom was a large wet-room, perhaps not to everyone’s taste, but I liked it! The shower was powerful and I had no issues with water pressure/temperature. You are provided with a (very) small bottle of complementary shampoo and shower gel - perhaps bring your own if you are planning a long stay. The room was spacious and included a seating area, desk, fitted wardrobes, smart TV, and a standing fan. Room service can be provided, but you need to opt in for this. The hotel was very quiet during my stay. There is ample on-site parking, both to the front and rear of the hotel. The location is also perfect, with Shanklin beach and the highstreet a five minute walk from the hotel. Free WiFi is provided, but admittedly I didn’t use this as the mobile coverage was excellent anyway. I was very fortunate to get this room at a heavily discounted rate on Booking.com. It should have been £400 for three nights (27 - 30 December), but I managed to get it for £240 - roughly 40% off. I would certainly stay again if the price was similar to what I paid
