Excellent communication from the owners. Helpful and considerate. Welcome was excellent. Parking was organised and made life very easy. Very good room, well equipped and quiet. Owners very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel well placed for access to the town centre and seafront. Hotel provided lists of restaurants and advised on what to see. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay with good hosts that I will recommend.

Fantastic place, in a great location. Five minute walk to Old Shanklin Village and a ten or so minute walk to the beach. A superb breakfast helps to start the day - fresh fruit, fruit juice, freshly ground coffee, full English and toast (there are other options). Rooms are clean with lots of storage space. Excellent value for money. The hosts, Gareth and Wendy, are so nice and helpful. Really added to our stay.

We loved the location. A few minutes walk from the beach, but the scenery is beautiful! The room was lovely, clean and quite spacious! Gareth and Wendy are wonderful hosts!

Wendy and Gareth are lovely hosts and super helpfull. Gareth even drove us to the train station when we left. They are not licenced but there is a hospitality fridge, where you can leave your own drinks. Near to the town and to the esplanade

The location was great within 10 minutes walk of the beach, local village, pubs and restaurants. The Appley Lodge was a very peaceful pleasant base for our weeks holiday. The facilities were great and Gareth and Wendy were superb hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of breakfasts offered and this set us up for day if site seeing. When we returned we enjoyed a nice cuppa sitting on the veranda.

Location was excellent for all amenities and Garreth and Wendy treated us as old friends ,catering for all our needs with a great sense of humour and thoughtfullness. We loved it !!

Breakfast was excellent well presented and cooked very well and best full English breakfast we have had on the isle of wight Gareth and Wendy are brilliant and we enjoyed our stay there so much we will visit them again thank you so much for your hospitality
