Amazing hostel with warm staff. There's a lot of items on the menu available, as well as a range of beer. Just a few mins walk into the Old Town

Tavern hostel is just amazing, from the owners to the food to the location . They speak a really good English and they give you all the informations you need! I booked with them the hike to Abuji Lake (was amazing ) and he booked for me the bus to Lijiang ! Loved the food there, I also tried a Korean dish and the best coffee I ever tried in China! So highly recommended!!!! Thank you guys !! I hope to see you again !

1. Its inside Dukezong Old city, nearby the square. 2. Super clean rooms and toilets. Beds come with heater blankets. 3. Great location just 20m walk to didi pick up area. 4. Friendly host.

The lady running the hostel is so kind and helpful and speaks excellent English. The breakfast is fresh and home cooked. Clean property and every bed has electric blankets. Really recommend to anyone staying in Shangri-La!

Went for one night, ended up with 3 nights. Can highly recommend staying with this Korean/Chinese family. The food is amazing and everyone working is so friendly! If one day I get the chance to return to Shangri-la, I'll definitely stay here again.

Was the only hostel in china where I actually met people! Super beautiful tiles in the bathroom (which is unimportant but still want to mention). Staff is super nice and helpful. Beautiful old town house.

This is an amazing hostel. Christy and her husband speak perfect english and the food is to die for. I wish I could have taken a lifetimes worth of her homemade Kimchi back with me to Australia. Also the coffee she makes is superb.
