Gary “A relaxing stay in a beautiful historic property”

Kilmahon House is an impressive period Glebe House, beautifully restored and decorated throughout. Julia and Mike were amazing hosts, making us feel instantly at home and being both approachable and unobtrusively attentive during our stay. Our room was larger than we expected, and the massive bed faced the near ceiling to floor windows, giving us great views into the walled garden and orchard. Breakfast options were extensive and superbly presentated, garnished with fresh herbs from the garden. Julia's baked treats each day were a welcome bonus when returning from exploring the area. We loved hearing the colourful history of the property, how Mike and Julia are contributing to the story, and their plans for writing the next chapter with expanded facilities. We hope to get back in 2-3 years and see how things have progressed.

Lovely country house, great hosts, fabulous breakfast and great taxi service to Ballycotton. Would recommend for a break away.

Beautiful Georgian Manor House. In a beautiful peaceful setting. Outstanding breakfast. So fresh and wonderfully cooked. Ballymaloe trained chef so couldn’t go wrong!
