Poppy Cottage is a really nice place to stay! All the rooms were very spacious clean & very tidy! We had the fire going on the first night while catching up with friends & we all said it was very homely! An absolute gem & perfect base to start/finish the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge! We'll definitely be looking to book there next time we're going!

Poppy's Cottage was perfectly situated a couple of minutes from the station, in the heart of the village. My friends and I took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and the cottage was incredibly clean, comfortable, convenient and incredible value for money. I'd go back in a heart beat, and recommend it to anyone taking on a 25 mile walk!

Good space, all clean, cosy and comfortable. Views of the peak from one bedroom. Fire laid and generous fuel provided. Lots of useful local leaflets and books. Beautiful area and a good base that is out in the countryside but easily accessible by car or train and with parking for 2 cars if needed. Loads of great outdoor activities nearby and beautiful landscape and villages. Friendly owners next door.
