The area was gorgeous, we had a beautiful room with a view over the open desert where we could see ground squirrels and oryxes. there was a vegetarian option available at dinner on request, which was delicious and well thought out. We took a sundowner drive with them, which was also well worth the cost, would really recommend it. We also got printed out bedtime stories and chocolates each night.

The Elegant Desert Lodge is significantly cheaper than its neighbouring lodges, so it may not be as swanky, but it's just a special really. The pool is good, the views are fantastic, the food is delicious, and - more importantly in my opinion - the staff are warmer and more welcoming than elsewhere. Down to earth and a lovely stay.

Modern, well-equipped lodge with friendly and hospitable staff. Very comfortable beds, large rooms, no problems with air conditioning. Great views at sunset and sunrise. Good dinner and breakfast. Internet fast enough for Namibian standards.
