The hotel has great location with nearby tunnel connecting to shops and other attractions. The room is very clean and although I though it would be a bit bigger than what I had, yet it is satisfactory.

My third stay here and I still love it. Great location, walking distance to main palaces, etc. Can be a bit noisy when events taking place at City Hall plaza, but stops early enough for sleep. The staff are great and can help with anything you may need.

The Plaza hotel is well located in the Seoul city district, near the City Hall, above the Sogong underground shopping maze and close to the Lotte and Shinsegae department stores. There’s a bus which takes you from the airport to the hotel and return if you’re keen to travel that way, although we chose to use Uber and taxis which are relatively well priced. The hotel staff are excellent, extremely courteous and helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting Vicky and Peter from concierge services, both helped us to find exactly the sort of restaurants we wanted, and both made us feel like valued guests by taking the time to understand what we were looking for. We never felt rushed by any of the staff at this hotel. We stayed in a suite with a small living area and separate bedroom and full bathroom. The technology in the rooms is a nod to South Korea’s leadership in this field with a heated, multi functional toilet, curtains and lights all controlled by a single screen which is why we were stunned with the inadequate storage/wardrobe facilities in the room. This area was poorly lit, hard to access, badly designed and guaranteed to cause you to leave something behind. It consisted of a few shelves on one side of a narrow enclave covered by curtains, two drawers, one containing a safe in the centre, and some hanging space on the left - I’m pretty small and I could barely move around in this area! And painted with deep colours which made it very dark! They really need to freshen this area up. Now a comment about the lobby lounge which I see has been a popular topic by other reviewers. The prices are ridiculous which is why the lobby bar area is almost always empty. AUD$34 for a small glass of average wine, and the local beer wasn’t much better priced . We wandered down to the Le Seoul hotel and sat in their lobby for drinks at a fraction of the price, and with a nice ambience. I would probably reconsider staying here, if it weren’t for such lovely staff.

Location was excellent - easy walking distance to the top attractions and shopping. The hotel is very pretty, and smelled so good. The rooms are comfortable and the aircond works well. The staff were very helpful and all spoke English fluently. I was also given a complimentary upgrade to a Premier suite. Thank you very much.
