The hosts Shin and Lee made this our best stay in Korea- they were super welcoming, cooked us delicious vegetarian breakfasts every morning, introduced us to the area and gave us lots of helpful advice, booked a traditional bathhouse experience for us and when we had to leave,sent us off to the airport with lots of goodies. They went above and beyond to make our first visit to Seoul an unforgettable experience. They even stored our luggage as we went off to explore other parts of South Korea. We relished the opportunity to meet other travellers staying at the guesthouse and share our stories with them. This is a traditional Korean hanok and the family home of our hosts. Shin and Lee became more like our family by the end of our stay. This was the best place we stayed in and we would definitely revisit.

The location was very convenient and both Mr Shin and Ms Lee were an excellent hosts. It was great to experience the Hanok and local Korean culture. Breakfast was great every morning.

A lovely authentic Korean home. The owners Shin and Lee went out of their way to make your stay comfortable. My room had been upgraded due to renovations, and it was perfect for a short stay. The welcoming tea and rice cakes were a treat after a long flight. The communication was excellent pre travel so much so that I felt confident and knowledge with the transport system (plenty of choice) on arriving in Korea. The homemade Korean breakfast was tasty, although I did struggle to eat what would be a main meal for me. But it certainly sets you up for the day. Shin provided me with a map of the area, highlighting the important landmarks with a brief discussion on each area. He also kindly escorted me to view the changing of the guards at the Palace... a short 10-minute walk away. He also gave me his WhatsApp number to keep in contact should I get lost or have any questions whilst out sightseeing. The location in Seoul is perfect for resteraunts, transport and places of interest. Lee and Shin offered a very personal and hospitable stay in their homes, and it was a fabulous experience to stay in the Hanok and sleep on the futon.

We forgot to inform Mrs Lee and Mr Shin that we will be arriving earlier than expected but nevertheless both hosts welcomed us very openly. The whole stay at the beautiful host‘s hanok house made us feeling like home. The food was delicious. The hosts always described the typical self made korean food to us and showed it also in their recipe book (Mrs Lee did the food all by herself with love and like at Mum’s). The room was comfy (with ground heat) and we like the inner yard a lot. However, we think, what it made the best stay at Seochon Guesthouse to us are the hosts. They gave us some recommondations for food, hair salon, bars, sightseeing spots, etc. Thank you again very much for the beautiful days in Seoul and that we experience your very warm guest-friendship.

Location, convenient and very homely. Easy to get around. Owner n his wife greet us and making sure we know our way around to places. They help us call taxi as our flight was very early. They even prepare takeaway breakfast buns and cut out fruits making sure we have our breakfast. I enjoy my stay with them and will come back.

The location of the guesthouse is just perfect. It is close to bus and metro stations. Various Restaurants and cafes are right outside the doorstep and the Tongin Market is within 2-3 minutes walking distance. On top of that, it is very close to Gyeongbukgong palace (west gate).

This guesthouse is an absolutely wonderful option to experience traditional Korean housing. The owners are the kindest people and try to interact with you, help you or give their sightseeing recommendations every day. I especially loved that all guests and guesthouse owners had breakfast together at the same time in a common area. Also, to have a traditional Korean breakfast freshly made every morning with homemade side dishes was the most delicious thing ever! The location is perfect - walking distance to main temples and also easy to get any food you could crave. Bedroom is traditional equipped with futon mattress (I had no issues sleeping on it, even enjoyed it! :)),one longer side “desk” to store your luggage and another smaller one with sightseeing information, towels and a hair dryer. Each room has its own bathroom/washroom (it’s separated from the bedroom - you simply pass through the common area) equipped with bidet toilet, shampoo & shower gel, rubber slippers and provided with fresh towels every day. You have your own room key to protect your belongings and a “chip” to access the main doors of the house. To sum up: would I stay there again? 100%!!! :)

Best place I have ever stayed! I chose this place because of its great reviews and they did not disappoint. Shin and Lee are amazing hosts! The house feels so homely and cozy. I had an amazing breakfast every morning, and the day I had to leave very early for a tour trip (and would miss breakfast), they even packed a breakfast for me to take with me. I can only recommend this guesthouse. If I was ever in Seoul again, I would 100% stay here again.
