Hotel Overview

Quietly located on the edge of the Odenwald Forest, this hotel offers free parking and some of the rooms have a balcony. Hotel Ludwigstal It is 2 km from Schriesheim and 11 km from Heidelberg.
The traditional hotel is family-run. Each room includes satellite TV and a private bathroom with hairdryer.
Regional food and fine wines are served in the bright conservatory restaurant. An outdoor terrace is available in the summer. Guests can try wines from the hotel’s own vineyard.
Many hiking trails begin just outside the Hotel Ludwigstal, and an outdoor swimming pool is just 1.5 km away. The hotel offers free parking and is 4.4 km from the A5 motorway via a tunnel which opened in 2016.

The Staff were very helpful from the get go. Food was delicious and hearty with a good Breakfast choice and Evening menu. When staying anywhere, I quickly build a good rapport with Staff, this Hotel was no exception as they were very friendly, and helpful, even with my poorly spoken German.

The hotel staff were excellent with us. We managed to leave our wash bag behind when checking and once realising the mistake I contacted the hotel who then sent it onwards for us via DHL. We had a superb dinner the night of our stay in their restaurant and it’s probably the most dog friendly hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Our room had a lovely view and dog walking was straight out into the forest! I can highly recommend this gem of a place.

Great location for Walking the Hills, getting into Heidelberg or just to relax and get away from it all. Staff were friendly and helpful, even with my bad German skills, ahem. Food was tremendous, local produce which was full of flavour.

German traditional rustic hotel. Very nice setting there is a small wood in front and we have seen squirrels. Breakfast was good.
