Friendly and helpful staff in an old-style B&B, with renovated rooms. Walking distance to the beach, the harbourside funfair and the main town centre. On-street parking arranged for us was a handy touch.

Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly. And within easy distance for a day trip to Whitby. and just a few minutes walk from the Scarborough castle which was a lovely morning effort before breakfast.

Fantastic place. Beautifully kept, meticulously clean, bedrooms and bathrooms in a good order of decoration, bed incredibly comfortable. We'd booked the "double room with sea view", and it didn't disappoint on either aspect. The room was significantly bigger than many we've stayed in, and the view was absolutely spectacular, with a full uninterrupted vista of the North Bay. Waking up to that on a bright morning was a joy. The breakfasts were of an incredibly high standard, excellent quality ingredients and plentiful too. Best bit of bacon I've had in a long time! The service was perfect, quick, friendly and efficient. Special thanks to Ken for the advice on where to find a parking space! The hotel's location is exceptionally convenient; situated as it is on the cliff top overlooking the North Bay, it's no more than fifteen minutes' walk away from any of the main points of interest of Scarborough.

Fantastic place to stay in every way. Friendly, welcoming staff. Managed to arrange a slightly earlier check in. Street car parking permit saved a fortune and got a space practically on the front of the hotel. Very nice room with comfortable bed and amazing sea views. Stayed for 4 nights and the full English breakfast was consistently delicious every morning. We will be purchasing the same coffee when we get home! Even get the advantage of keeping your own drinks in the lounge fridge. Glasses available to use. Location is excellent. Very close to the castle the harbour and the town. Lots of nice eateries etc. Whitby a £4 return journey by bus! Cannot wait to return. Thank you. Emma & Egie
