Beautiful apartment, comfortable and well equipped. Nice touches, such as leaving some fruit cake for us and having umbrellas to use. Additional extras such as nice bath products, the use of some cooking oil, and salt/pepper were very welcome. The hot water was on and ready to use on arrival, there was welcoming music and lighting, beds are all exceptionally comfortable, and the location is spot on. There is a sea view at an angle from the bay window and a nice outlook onto Esplanade Gardens, where our kids like to play in the afternoon. There are even ping pong bats, crab buckets, and nets to use, which helps to save the pennies! Plenty of board games and Netflix logged in and is ready to use, which is fantastic for rainy days. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. There is a washer drier to use, which came in handy for us, having stayed for 2 weeks. We love staying around Esplanade, and Esplanade Gardens are our favourite. Here there are gardens out front to sit and play ball games shoud you wish, a beautiful walk through the manicured paths down to the spa where music can be enjoyed from the last remaining UK beach orchestra, and of course the spa lift to save your legs with easy access to a slightly quieter but more beautiful beach than in the centre, with rock pools and bathing available to explore. Only a very short walk to the central south bay with all the arcades and shops, or an open top bus journey to the north bay, where peasholm park and the famous miniature naval battle takes place, and the steam train can be ridden up to the seaside centre. In the other direction is a great 10km circular walk to Cayton Bay, a real treasure. We thoroughly enjoyed our extended break here. It was like a home away from home. It's our 3rd time in this apartment and won't be the last.
