We had problems with our room with dirty bedding on our bed but we notified staff and they changed our room I'd of been happy with just fresh bedding.. Breakfast wash a buffet and there was lots to choose from for everyone's need

Hotel was ok great value for money! But no running hot water. And I didn’t like the fact they’d locked the reception door and didn’t give us keys. I had to start banging on the front door and windows to be let in

Great stay. Freshly cooked tasty breakfast, plenty of choice. Clean & comfortable room with sea view. Friendly & helpful staff. A very pleasant stay out of season. Would definitely stay at the Royal Hotel again when visiting Scarborough.

The hotel was clean and tidy the evening meals where nice apart from the fish and chips that was pretty poor and the breakfast was OK but not great food was served cold and overcooked on more than 1 occasion there was entertainment advertised each evening but we had no entertainment
