For what looks like a fairly outdated place, the Clifton is very well kept and comfortable. I got a great offer at around £50 for the night which I would pay again. I'd been walking for a few days and was desperate for a bath...I emailed a few hours before my arrival to ask for a room with a bath which they were able to accommodate. The bed was comfy.

Great hotel stayed there a few times but why it shut down for winter and left the grand open should have been other way round

Lovely hotel my daughter and myself really enjoyed how chrismassy and inviting the hotel was felt warm and cosy, the Staff where very helpful and friendly. Location was brilliant was a shame about the parking has most car parks surrounding the hotel were full. The only avaliable parking was a 10 min walk away.

nice view of sea - good size room - fridge in room - wardrobe & 2 sets of drawers - desk & chair - very clean - nice crisp brand new bedding - good choice for breakfast

I have stayed at the Travelodge & Premier inn, but I have to say it's the personal touch that makes you feel welcomed. Extremely welcoming staff, perfect location with the views over the bay. Huge room, lovely shower room, comfy bed, IRON & IRONING BOARD, SMALL FRIDGE FOR YOUR TIPPLES IF REQUIRED. All in all a perfect place to stay.

The location of the hotel was ideal for what we needed. The hotel itself was nothing less than 10 out of 10. From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out, the staff were very helpful and cheerful. The room 232, was clean, comfortable and well equipped with an iron, hairdryer, ironing board and an additional heater if needed. There were also spare pillows and blankets. The room was very cosy and tastefully decorated with plenty of floorspace. The shower was nice and warm and powerful. There was a kettle and the tea, coffee etc was well stocked. Plus there's a fridge. Towels, were nice and soft, without any stains or marks, as was the bedding. The communal areas were well kept, the decor was modern and plenty of seating areas should you want to relax. The bar area was very inviting, prices were reasonable for both food and drinks. We didn't sample the food, but it looked nice, good size portions and people could be heard saying how nice it was. We travelled with our dog. This hotel and the staff are very dog friendly and let's just say my dog was never short of attention from staff and other guests. We would definitely stay again.
