“Best place to stay in Sarajevo”

We stayed in Villa Una for two nights on the beginning of August, 2024. This is the city of my ancestors and I must say that we had an amazing experience at this hotel. First of all, the owners are sweet and very attentive to your needs. I didn’t speak Croatian, but we could understand each other perfectly either in English or Italian and with my very basic Croatian! The room is super comfortable, the beds were like clouds from the sky. It was ultra clean which was an amazing change after staying in overpopulated hostels in Croatia, which cost the same or even more. The bathroom, although small, had everything needed. Given that Sarajevo is not hell on earth regarding the weather (compared to Dalmatia), so even if we didn’t have AC in our room (you can pay more if you want to for it) the fan was more than enough for us. We didn’t experience any of the problems that other customers talk about. We could park inside the premises, but we had a Fiat 500. If you are driving a big car or if there are many guests, you may have to park outside, but there’s plenty of space in front of the hotel. I want to thank the owners for their hospitality, I highly recommend this place located only 10 minutes away from the historical Bascarscija center. Sretan put and hvala! Ps: the breakfast is basic but delicious, open from 7:30-9. The French toast is to die for.
