Amazing location amongst the rice paddies Mama and her family are exceptional hosts Breakfast and dinner was delicious throughout our stay - thank you Mama’s Daughter in Law! We did some trekking with Mama which was great. Very interesting learning about Hmong culture and traditions. The bungalow is basic but has a balcony with the most beautiful view. Shared bathroom and shower facilities. Access to cold water and drinks all day - just keep a tab. The best of happy water each night!! Mamas son also did me a huge favour when he met us in Sapa after checking out and brought my left behind AirPods. Thanks also to Mama’s grandsons for all the games of UNO!

Such a lovely stay at Mama Gia Homestay. They fix transport from town to there home stay, a very tasty and good family dinner and the hikes are absolutely beautiful. Most of all the family is such lovely and friendly. You feel like a family member right away.

The view is absolutely perfect, probably the best one in all the Sapa villages. We also enjoyed the tours very much, they were so special and exciting. Everyone is helpful and kind, and even the kids were open and playful around us.

We spent 2 nights in their bamboo bungalows and had dinner with the family. They are all very helpful, kind and made sure you had a good time.

Mama Gia and her family were extremely accommodating hosts, and I really enjoyed my stay. She picked me up from my hotel in Sapa town and we walked to the village together, which was fun. The location is very peaceful, and my bungalow had its own balcony with a great view. Mama Gia’s daughter in law cooked some delicious food, and I enjoyed the guided walks. Her son gave me a lift back to the town on my last day

Breakfast and dinner at the homestay were delicious. We were given a choice for Breakfast and ate a banquet with the family for dinner. It was authentic and homely. We wanted an authentic local experience and Mamma Gaia didn't disappoint.

If you want to experience real life vietnam then a homestay is the way to go! This one was amazing! Mama gia made us feel very welcome as soon as she picked us up from sapa center. Our luggage was transported to the homestay and we started our first hike wich ended at the homestay. The next day we did a second hike with mama Gia’s son who guided us though the ricefielfs and bamboo forest. The food was also very good. In the evening you are invited to eat with the family and other guests.

This is an authentic home stay experience with very basic facilities. Mama Gia's family are warm and welcoming. Great food for all meals, and a fabulous emersive experience. Discuss with the family, trekking from Sapa Town to the homestay, approx 12km on the more direct route, or longer trek can be organised. Both can include a swim.
