Beautiful, unique and historic. It was amazing to stay in what used to be an old convent and one of the first original buildings in the old colonial town. The rooftop was so peaceful to enjoy a beer in the evening or to do yoga for the sunrise in the morning!

A beautiful building with well furnished rooms and superb communal areas , including a superb rooftop terrace. Helpful staff, generous check in and check out times. Perfectly situated in one of the city’s splendid historical streets.

We were in SD for two days only ... Its beautiful all near the colonial zone and I found it quite beneficial the location of this hotel to maximize our time and experience there. The staff was extremely kind and you feel privileged once inside as the place itself transmits special vibes from the history within those walls.

We loved the place - the location, the atmosphere, peace and quiet. The breakfast was very big and delicious. We appreciate the cordiality and manners of the staff. The room was spacious, facing lovely patio. It was easy to park - around the hotel there were a lot of available parking places.

It's very rare that I give a property 10/10 but this place deserves it! I absolutely loved everything about it. If you want to stay somewhere with history and character with modern finishes like A/C and hot water, then choose this place. I loved the cast iron door handles, four-poster beds, the colour scheme and tiles. The roof top and courtyard areas were a great place to relax. The museum info boards in English and Spanish were a unique addition and made me feel like I was staying in a truly special place. Breakfast was substantial. Also for those of you wondering whether Santo Domingo is safe, I was shocked at it being one of the safest places I've been in Latin America, specifically all of Zona Colonial and the Three Eyes National Park. (I've travelled a lot elsewhere in Latin America).

The location is right in the heart of the Colonial zone, the staff is very friendly and they make sure your stay is amazing. There is a very nice terrace on the upper floor while the building itself has a very ancient history which you wil discover once there.

The building is a museum and there is lots to see, the rooms are very nice but without daylight, these have airconditioning. The common area and breakfast area is very hot. Kitchen and cleaning staff are very attentive

Excellent breakfast, great and helpful staff, comfy beds and location is spot on. This is an excellent choice when visiting Santo Domingo. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.
