Traveling in time becomes real in this place. The colonial building breaths of history and walking inside its like a stroll in a museum. If you are fond of vintage this is the place to be. Located in the middle of a lush forest surrounded by cocoa plantations the nature is all around. There is stunning view from the rooms in the main building and bird watching can be done directly from the veranda. The food (quality, taste and presentation) is undoubtedly the best on the island. We traveled all around the island and here we ate the tastiest meals made of local ingredients. The rooms are spacious with comfy big beds and there are even some vintage pieces of furniture. There are some high quality amenities made of local organic ingredients. I personally notice details and this hotel just had it all.

I am rating Sundy Praia and not Roça Sundy as we were offered an upgrade and stayed in the villas instead, which was a nice surprise. All was beyond perfect, the villas in the jungle and their private beach were absolutely stunning! Food was good too, place is calm and clean, and the staff, in particular the young men at the front desk will go the extra mile to make you feel home!

Paulo from sales was super helpful finding alternatives to the challanges we faced due to changes on flights. The chef as done tailored vegan meals for us every night...which was fantastic. Attention to detail and friendly staff always happy to help. They have great activities included in the rate. Totally recommend 👌

The view, the amount of birds chirping the whole day, how comfy our room was (panoramic view), the staff - extremely nice.
