I liked the corner room and the only noise came from outside. If booked on time there may be more luxurious hotel rooms for almost the same rate.

Location was great and a short walk from all of the tapas bars and parks. Secure and easy access. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to the main bus stop which we used to access the city from the airport.

Staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived late at night and was welcomed. the room was very comfortable. I was allowed to store my luggage after checkout as my onward connection was later.

Room was basic, but good value for money. Staff were brilliant, lent me an adapter when mine broke and were generally very attentive. Car park very close by and well situated in the city for my needs.

Super perfect location in walking distance to the train station and the ferry port, and to all types of shops, bars and restaurants. Bed linen and towels clean with a spacious room. Staff was very helpful.

I am very grateful for the kindness and hospitality of Hostal le Mexicana last night. My train to Santander had broken down, which resulted in me not getting into Santander until 1.30am. In my panic to find accommodation at this time, I booked via booking.com and hoped for the best there would be 24 hour service. There was and a very kind employee - Manuel - looked after me - the room was everything I needed. I was so relieved to be safe and have somewhere to get a much needed good nights sleep.

Excellent location, close to everything. Friendly staff. Rather typical Spanish breakfast: bread, butter, one cheese option, one meat option, jams, cereals, fruit - conditionally unlimited, but the choice of dishes is small. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee.
