Hotel Overview

The beachfront Hotel el Velero boasts an outdoor pool and a private beach where you can choose to swim, lounge or relax. Free WiFi access is available at the Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica hotel in addition to an on-site restaurant that has a nightly happy hour and fresh seafood.

First of all, the location is simply PERFECT! Direct access from the hotel to the middle of the most beautiful beach of playa Hermosa. You can eat breakfast or dinner while staring at the sea waves and coconuts trees... a dream... The hotel itself is very nicely decorated. Not very fancy, but homy and inviting, with seating sofas, hamocks etc. Our room was of good size, clean and with good facilities. And also the staff nice and helpful.

Location directly at the beach couldn’t have been better. The food was good, especially their Tres Leches dessert 😊 The room was clean and recently renovated.

The locations was PERFECT! The food was amazing . I was treated so kindly by the staff . I got up to watch the sun rise and was blessed not only by the stars , moon , sun and the ocean but your beautiful staff brought me a chair , stand and the best cup of coffee . 🙏❤️

A really nice beach side hotel. The staff is really friendly and the restaurant has good food (although sometimes a little slow service), it is reasonably priced and we had all our meals there. The rooms are simple but large. You are on the beach (and it is wonderful) and get to use the chairs and towels from the hotel. Free parking. We would stay here again on our next visit.

Great small hotel right on the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. Great workers at this place. Location doesn't get any better, it's right on the beach!

This little gem was a slice of heaven and a very pleasant surprise after we had to cancel our original plans. My daughters(5+10), and I, felt immediately at ease and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 nights we spent there. Thanks to all the staff who made it a wonderful and memorable stay! The proximity to the airport was very convenient and we loved every minute by the beach and pool. We hope to return soon!

Beautiful beachfront grounds with shade trees, beach chairs, wonderful open air restaurant, balcony, pool, live music, warm & welcoming staff, comfortable beds, cool rooms. My party gave me high fives for finding such a hidden gem of a hotel!
