Off the beaten Path a quiet part of Santa Maria. A calm area away from the crowds yet only a few minutes walk to the busy waterfront strip. We loved our stay at Ca GIOgio Apartment it’s a very spacious well planned fully equipped apartment, we really had all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was so comfortable, the black out curtains helped keep the apartment cool we didn’t need to use the air conditioner but it was there if we needed it. The shower was large and the water pressure was great. Kitchen was a joy to use along with the clothes washing machine. Nice sitting room had good light with lots of windows. The entry and hallways of the entire building is well maintained and a pleasure to use. In the surrounding area are grocery shops, city markets , local restaurants and across the street a hospital. Amazing white sandy beach with delicious seafood restaurants, bars of all price points reachable by foot 5 minutes. Our highlight was visiting the Pier to watch the fishing boats bring in their catch along with local artists selling a variety of interesting crafts. The Island has a nice local culture and it was really special to mingle with the local friendly Cabo Verdians and support their businesses. Thank you for your hospitality.

I like the place because was an apartment and I was able to cook if I didn’t want go into a restaurant. I think this was making the difference.

Excellent modern comfortable apartment in a good location just a short walk from the main pedestrian street, the pier and the beach. Despite me suffering a cancelled flight from Sao Vicente and all of my luggage lost until the afternoon of my third day, Antonio and his patner were incredibly understanding and helpful in every way possible. The security was excellent with electronic fob for the single entrance and for the apartment itself.

Everything was perfect, very spacious, lovely hosts, loved the location (its around 10 min walking to the beach, felt very safe, 5 min walking to the tourist area), 2 min away from two groceries shops, lots of local restaurants in the neighboorhood, we absolutely loved our stay at Ca GIOGió!

Good location, friendly hosts, very clean apartment, safe surroundings, 10 min walk to the beach, and nearby supermarkets and pharmacy. Close to the main street but far enough from big crowds. Lots of restaurants nearby, plenty of choice.
