The town is extremely picturesque, and we enjoyed walking around it in the sunshine. The accommodation was comfortable, and the hosts welcomed us well. They had a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area and were able to provide recommendations.

Proximity to the airport is the best part. Value for money is good. The hotel itself is like a travel back in time to the 70s. The hotel could need some renovation and new furniture

Nice old area of Santa Cruz. Not as busy as Funchal, more laid back, and meals were cheaper. Hotel is very small, like visiting your grandmother's with a big old tub and older furnishings. It was Immaculate and the bed was comfortable. We asked for a quiet room and we slept well on a comfortable bed. Excellent value for an overnight stay 7 minute drive to the airport. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Very nice building and stuff in the touristic town of Santa Cruz. There is nothing to complain about rather than the noise bar/street nearby. That one kept us awake for quite some hours. For us it was a good option for our last day and then walk towards the airport.

Very convenient location for the airport, nice village and pleasant, atmospheric guesthouse. Facilities are not the most up to date but completely fine if you are happy with the basics.
