We wanted a convenient base to explore Madeira with our young family so Albatroz was perfect. We had a lovely quick transfer from the airport and the staff at the hotel were all so lovely. They couldn’t have done more to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The quality of the food at breakfast and dinner was also exceptional. Rooms were comfortable with everything you needed. The kids loved the heated pool and as other reviews stated, there really wasn’t any noise from the airport.

Brilliant hotel, absolutely amazing staff, fantastic restaurant with a top class evening menu and fantastic breakfast (fresh orange juice) an incredible selection. A welcome basket in our room and a bottle of bubbles with a hand written welcome note 🙌🏼 Right next to the airport but so quiet and relaxing The salt water sea pool was incredible we loved it and will definitely be back

This hotel is brilliant. There is excellent sound proofing so you don't hear noise from the highway or the airport even when outside. You just hear the sea. In my opinion some hotels claim to be 5 star but aren't. This one is. Excellent food, drink, and service. If you want somewhere special and hassle free in Madeira this is it. Salt water pool and heated outdoor pool both excellent.

The staff. They were brilliant - they made us feel incredibly welcome and their service was excellent. We had a wonderful meal in the restuarant, our room was large and very comfortable with ocean views and the proximity to the airport (3 minutes away) made it very convenient. From the time of my call to the hotel car pulling up at the airport terminal building was around 5 minutes. Fantastic!
