Spacious room, aircon and hot water were great. The staff were present and friendly, breakfast was simple but good and having use of the kitchen made it possible for us to cater for ourselves. Location is very good being 10 minutes walk from the central park. We enjoyedour stay here.

We had a great time at Altea Hostel. It’s a cozy place with a green courtyard and spacious, clean rooms with modern bathrooms. The breakfast is prepared for each guest individually in the morning and was always a great start in the day. We would like to give extra stars for the lovely Erick, who made our first stay in El Salvador very funny and incredibly personal. Many thanks for the wonderful days and the great exchange! We’ll come back!

Well equipped kitchen, filling though simple breakfast, very cheap laundry compared to rest of el Salvador. Shared bathroom worked well and just 10 mins to the centre of town.

Really comfortable hostel with all you could need - comfy room in a great location, and the breakfast each morning was delicious! The staff were lovely and always around to help. Thank you! Definitely recommend :)

A great private room for a very affordable price. Although I originally booked for 2 nights, I ended up staying for 4. The hostel and town of Santa Ana are ideally located to explore the region, with easy access to the Ruta de las Flores, Santa Ana Volcano and Lake Coatepeque. The hostel breakfast was simple, but very tasty. The staff including Eric and Jenny were both very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Laundry service was very good and only cost $3 per load.

All the staff were fantastic, very nice and friendly. I only thought to get 2 names, Ami and Erick, but the other lady that was there most of my time was great too. They were also very helpful in renting a car for me, when a tour I booked didn't work out as planned. I think I may have been the only renter, except for a family that stayed over one night, so that made it very quiet and enjoyable. The breakfast was yummy, but I only ate once because it ends at 9a and I didn't get out of bed in time each day lol It's very close to the town square and within walking distance of banks, restaurants and grocery. Several times I walked back and forth to the town square after dark and I felt completely safe.....during the day too.

Was a great location, super safe even walking at night, walking distance to the main square and shops. Staff were lovely and helpful (no English). Place was cute, clean and pretty empty.
