I want to write a lot and positively about this hotel. I think that the first impression of San Sebastian very much depends on the place where you stay in this magical city. The hotel is ideal for the best experience. An ancient building with high ceilings, an authentic elevator and crazy parking below sea level (don’t repeat our mistake - parking needs to be booked in advance) Only thanks to the nicest staff at the reception we were lucky to get the last place in the hotel parking. Comfortable beds, small balconies, nice modern bathroom. Before the trip, I read a lot of negative reviews about the hotel restaurant. Lies! Yes, it’s true that the restaurant is tiny, and yes, it’s true that there may not be any free tables. But all this can happen if all the guests come for breakfast at the same time. You can enjoy the morning breeze for 5-10 minutes on the promenade, taking just 10 steps from the restaurant. And tables will appear. The staff constantly replenishes food in the buffet. The croissants at this hotel are divine. The dinner is delicious, there is not a lot of choice, but everything is very high quality. I recommend, as with parking, to book a table for dinner in advance.

The staff at réception or in the cafétéria werevery helpful. We could even have breakfast before the opening time (we were catching an early train') The decor is exceptional a bit old fashioned but smart so different from the modern hôtels. The location was exceptional right on the beach. The food was good in the restaurant.

La Concha beach and its corresponding promenade are world-famous for good reason and one could wax lyrical about its enchanting beauty all day. And there‘s few places to better admire it than from a front-row balcony of this hotel, which is right in the middle of it.

We loved the location direct on the beach. We payed extra for a room with seaview and it was worth every cent. We listened to the waves at night and enjoyed watching the life on the beach - La Concha from our balcony. We travelled in november and we had great weather not too big a crowd, really enjoyable. I would never come in high season.

The location is excellent and the bus service is directly in front of the hotel and easy to use. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was excellent and also accommodating with reservations and service.

Small friendly hotel with a good restaurant. Perfect location overlooking the main beach. We always stay here.
