The place is beautiful, with an amazing view of the city. Great attention to detail. The staff was always kind and helpful. The room was very cozy and clean, the bed was comfortable, and we even found a small snack waiting for us upon arrival. We arrived by car and used the partnered parking service in the city, which was the best solution as it also included two taxi rides in the parking fee. We will definitely be back!

This boutique hotel is stunning. The decor is beautiful, the gorgeous infinity pool with wonderful views. We had room 3 with the freestanding bath and private terrace. The bed was so comfortable with the most amazing pillows. I’d gladly wake up here every day.

This place is like A DREAM! The photos on the website are nice, but its even better in real life. We arrived to a beautiful sunset. The outside of the building is historical but the interiors are mid-century modern/modern and GORGEOUS. Our room was a nice size, we had a Juliet balcony with a view of the city/bay/sunset and we had our own porch off the bedroom. The breakfasts are over the top and delicious - so much to choose from. The pool is beautiful and the grounds are very well attended and have lots of different areas for setting and hanging out. There is a lot of attention to detail - like fairy lights and candles outside when you get back at night - the perfect spot for a glass of wine and taking in the view of the city at night. There is also a path to the beach near the hotel, but we did not check it out. The staff is so helpful and friendly - they made many recommendations for sites/activities and dining, and they call taxis for you to come take you into town. I did not want to leave, and opted to just stay there and relax and enjoy the property on one morning and afternoon. Like San Sebastian itself, the Mendia Argia is a very special, beautiful, welcoming and relaxing place that you will not forget.

Nicely decorated rooms. Nice people in the kitchen :-)) We had the family room, great space and a nice balcony. A 20 min walk to the town of SS some stairs included :-))

The staff at the property were fantastic, before we arrived they helped us with reservations, transfer options from Bilbao and were on hand to answer any questions I had beforehand. I had concerns based on some previous reviews of the hotel as I needless to say I shouldn’t have worried. The property is beautiful and located in a serene spot with easy access to hiking routes and has the best views of the city. The hike to the hotel may not be for everyone but it helped us burn off hefty lunches! The interiors are stunning and vary per room and the views are unrivalled, we were lucky to get some sun and spent an hour or two around the pool.

It was absolutely stunning—so calm and inviting. The views were breathtaking, and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. I can’t believe it’s only a 2-star hotel; it should definitely be rated 4 or 5 stars. The attention to detail, the decor, and the spacious rooms were exceptional. The furniture in our room, especially the beautiful wooden pieces, was truly amazing

Great views, well maintained and laid out grounds. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Pool.

Beautiful location and views. The swimming pool is great. We had a lovely stay as we just wanted to relax by the pool and didn't need to leave the grounds. We had dinner which had to be pre ordered but was delicious and a lovely experience. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The honesty bar had a well stocked fridge and coffee machine but perhaps some bagged crisps/nuts/chocolate would be a nice addition. Quite highly priced drinks!

Really nice design, amazing pool, good view over the city. Spacious room and bathroom with nice eco-friendly bathroom appliances. Staff is friendly. Overall we liked it.
