Hostel Overview

Featuring a new and convenient location only a 5-minute walk from the bus station and a 10-minute walk from the town centre, Hostal Campo Base offers accommodations in San Pedro de Atacama. Free WiFi access is available and a complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily.

The fine print
Please note the following advice provided by the owners to reach the property: From the Bus Station walk out to Tumiza Street (only one way out) and turn right up to Laskar St. From the corner turn right and walk two blocks through Laskar Street up to Pachamama Street. From here walk up to your right again and you’ll find us in front of a playground.

LOCAL TAX LAW. Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19% To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won't be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA). This additional fee (IVA) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid seperately.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Amazing! Thank you Rodrigo! I spent three lovely days in Atacama surrounded by warmness and hospitality! Hostel has everything: friendly staff, tours and transfers reservation, shelves for luggage, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, hammocks under the stars, fast wi-fi, simple but nice breakfast… So EVERYTHING what can make you happy! Moreover, I didn’t have any problems without Spanish language as Rodrigo speaks perfect English☺️

It felt like a family home, the hospitality was fabulous. Staff could not do enough, the room was cosy, but suitable, breakfast was great & only about a 6 minute walk from the main road but very peaceful. Thanks team for a great few nights stay!

Amazing place, super clean, very helpful and friendly owner. The beds are incredibly comfy and the covers really keep you warm at night. Bathrooms are kept clean and beds are tidied up every day. It is kinda far, about 10min walk, from basically the only street in the town but I didn’t mind it, it was quiet and peaceful.

Great host in that lovely hostal! Comfortable beds, very tasty breakfast and very nice atmosphere in the hostal. If you like to have some organized touristic tours in San Pedro, I can recommend to trust Rodrigo and his team and to book with them. It was very good.

The accommodation really met my expectations. It is kind of a small hostel, where you can easily socialise with other guests if you want. It is a quiet hostel… after 22pm silence is a must. I can say that I had a good rest and sleep. The breakfast is good enough to start the day, including some eggs and Nutella too. Both ladies serving the breakfast are very polite and super nice. The same with both receptionists. Specially Rodrigo made the stay more comfortable and nicer. You can get some tips from excursions or whatsoever. I stayed in a private room and it was the right size. The location is pretty good… having a couple of food store next to it and only like

The vibe at the hostel is super cozy, and Rodrigo's warmth and attention to detail to make everything perfect are absolutely outstanding. Without a doubt, it’s one of the best places to stay if you’re visiting San Pedro.

Super nice host Rodrigo welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips and ideas for things to do in Atacama. It’s not a big place but very clean and we had a nice shower that was actually working, something that is not always the case on the Salar de Uyuni trips.
