The apartment is on the 17th floor near Sabana Park, close to the national stadium. There are good restaurants within walking distance. Líbano, the Lebanese place two blocks away is excellent. While the apartment is compact, it’s got almost everything you’ll need (but bring your own corkscrew). The balcony offers a good view of downtown and the mountains to the south and east of San José. It’s often pleasantly breezy up there, a welcome break on hot days. Kitchen has fridge, stove, sink, cutting boards and stools to sit and chat with the cook. Hot showers were welcome. The owner was very easy to communicate with. Parking in the building’s garage is very convenient.
