This is a quirky boutique hotel which is a nice change from the usual chain hotels you get on big cities.

Wonderfully quirky hotel with great atmosphere. Staff attentive and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Very sympathetic to room requirement uncertainty/changes due to circumstances beyond our control.

The decor and the elevator was beautiful! Being able to go to the sister hotel for drinks and nibbles was a wonderful experience too, fantastic way to start the evening.

It was a magical place with beautiful features that made me travel back in time. Loved it! Moreover, the staff were amazing, Luis (a fantastic front of house gentleman, who helped us with our luggage, he was very professional and courteous), our lovely housekeeper who always smiled and was very humble , the receptionist who was very attentive and nice, and the staff at the breakfast room who were also very humble and kind. All and each one of them were just delightful.

The room was charming and comfortable. it was at the back of the hotel and so relatively quiet, especially for central SF. we liked the cocktail hour (or rather wine and cheese) which is held at the sister hotel 2 doors down the road.
