This hotel is an old building with a lot of character. The room was quite spacious and had a kitchenette which was very handy with a small fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortable and the reception area had comfy leather sofas and was a nice place to spend time whilst waiting to go to the airport. The location is good, a short walk to Union Square and there are good bar and restaurant options nearby plus a superette next door.

Friendly hotel and helpful staff. Lovely vintage character, good location. Comfortable bed. Useful fridge and microwave. Modest breakfast included but sufficient. Good location. Staff helpful with check in time.

Old fashioned charming hotel, staff are friendly, check in early and check out late....at no extra cost. Appreciated proper crockery and cutlery! Felt safe.

Is an old hotel but was comfortable - rooms were a good size. In a good location. Continental breakfast included was a bonus. Some great pubs in the area - the Last drop tavern & the Sutter pub. 8 minute walk to Union square

The hotel was an older style hotel with some charming touches. The lift has the old metal gates and the property is decorated with some nice paintings. The lobby had beautiful flowering orchids and was very comfortable. The rooms were large and had plenty of space for storage. Location was good, public transport was close by and the historic cable cars only a few blocks away.

Very close to Union Square and China Town. No homeless or insecurity near it.

The staff in the hotel is great, super helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, close good places to eat and easy to hop on the muni (public transportation). To get there from SFO using BART and MUNI was fast and super easy.

Breakfast was great, nothing out of this world but the same as I would of had if I was home It was close to all transport and an easy walk to the main area, the walk back a little uphill but that is San Francisco. Really great having a laundromat only a few metres from the Hotel.
