On top of the positives I have already shared; size, space, location, friendliness etc, what we really enjoyed were lots of lovely little t that touches came as pleasant surprises. For example, a range of teas and coffees in reception each morning, lovely ice-cooled flavoured waters across the day and a "happy hour' between 5 and 6 when they served a range of free drinks. Given we were there in winter we particularly loved the warm cider with a shot of rum. They also had a small on-site shop that we were given a surprise credit amount to spend during our stay there.

"Breakfast included" meant a $50 voucher at a very expensive cafe that didn't cover a coffee/drink and pastry for the 4 of us

This hotel was devine. Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, great location, great sound proofing. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Such a nice touch having complimentary drinks for an hour each night. Great atmosphere. Also we loved the record player and record selection in the room.

The staff were welcoming on our arrival. Very helpful with information. We asked for a quiet room which we got. With a lovely view of the garden. Comfortable beds. Stylish hotel. Oh and complementary happy hour drinks.

The location is excellent. Walk to Fisherman’s Wharf in one block. The hotel is bright, modern and very comfortable. The room was large, the bed amazing and the shower was also. They have a drinks hour between 5 and 6 pm. Good wines, beers, rum and warm apple cider. All served in glasses and no restrictions on how much. Plenty of seating in the lobby. We picked up some cheese and crackers in Walgreens, one block away and had a very lovely hour until dinner. The staff are old school polite. Great service. One night, we took our drinks in to dinner at Abaca and no one minded. Though pricey, the food was unique and tasty. They do hold a large deposit on a card when you check in but, it was returned immediately at check out.

1. Walking distance from Fisherman’s wharf, pier 35 and cable cars starting point. 2. Decent sized rooms to accommodate a family of 4 3. Old world record player in the room was a nice touch.
