It is a prestige brand and well known worldwide so expectations tend to be higher especially given the amount paid. Good location but the front desk staff needs training - customer service level is subpar. FO manager did a good service recovery after our check-in which we appreciated. But check-out process was not as ideal either. This guy was busy chatting with two ladies so we waited for awhile. And when it is our turn, his smile was gone and he simply asked me to drop the card in the box when i handed the card to him. When I told him we had to deposit our luggage with the bag drop counter for few hours, he just asked us to go over the other end to wait (no one was manning the counter). Wasnt exactly showing basic friendliness imho.

Hotel is in a perfect location for Union Square, Chinatown and the Moscone Center. Lots of rideshares available at all times for other areas. Room was great, spacious with a lovely view and well cleaned. Breakfast was delicious and the to-go continental option was very useful.

The Grand Hyatt is what you would expect from a brand like this. Everything well organised, efficient and comfortable. Staff were very good, Vanessa on the Concierge desk helped with a little problem (not related to the hotel) and was incredibly helpful. Views from our room were fantastic.

Nothing to complain about other than the fact we didn't get the room we requested. However - skyline view was possible from the fitness center on top floor so that's fine with us at the end of a day.

I loved everything about the hotel. The location was excellent. The hotel itself was fantastic. The staff had been exceptional by providing assistance and directions.

Brilliant location in the centre of San Francisco. Go for a city view room as the views are incredible. Staff were friendly, polite and professional and willing to answer all questions without any fuss. Felt really welcomed as a guest.
