Set on the seafront in San Benedetto del Tronto, Hotel Progresso is an impressive Art Nouveau building built in 1923. It offers a private beach and a restaurant specialising in fresh seafood.

There was much to like but I particularly appreciated the care that was shown for my dog who received her own little welcome pack. Otherwise, the location was perfect, opposite the beach. Breakfast catered for all tastes. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. And we were each given delightful posters on our departure - which will definitely be framed and hung on my wall!

Location is opposite of beach and quite close to city center and train station The ladies from reception were very helpful and gave us lots of information
