I have very mixed feelings regarding our stay. There's a beautiful tree in the inner courtyard of the hotel, the house itself is more than century old, a plethora of collectibles makes it unique. One must be aware it is far from generic, anonymous vibe of major hotels: it can be a plus for some but not liked by others. Aziz, who runs the hotel is very friendly: he insisted on dropping us to train station free of charge as well as was there for anything we needed. However, some might find his behavior a little overwhelming... very strong personality, he shared with us stories about other travelers, gave his strong opinions on many subjects and, gave us a lot of attention which could be, perhaps, a little uncomfortable for someone who isn't looking for socialising. So consider your personal preferences & know what to expect.

You'll stay inside the regular house in Samarkand. Very conveniently located near the city center - the neighborhood does not look very good but it is actually very safe and the people are friendly. The breakfast is tasty and diverse.

Probably the best bakery goods I tasted on my entire trip! Superb breakfast. Great sized-room, although the bathroom is tiny. The place was undergoing a renovation and our room was newly done although a little bare. I am certain once all is complete, the place will be fabulous. A decent 10-15min walk from the main sites, but this meant it was quiet and gave a great opportunity to wander the streets and explore.

Great location. Easy walking distance from all main sites. Great staff, Aziz is very keen to make things easy for you. Gorgeous historic house and setting. Good bathroom and hot water etc.

Super friendly staff, good breakfast, and good location, walkable from Registan. The guesthouse is in a beautifuil building with a nice garden. The guesthouse felt like a home!

It is a heritage building and retains the old world charm with modern amenities. It was lovely to sit under the giant mulberry tree in the courtyard and exchange views with guests from all parts of the world Last but not the least is Aziz- the Spirit😄...who keeps us all in good humour all through our stay...A real bundle of Good hearted fun... Definetly a place to visit and experience
