Bed and Breakfast Overview

In a quiet location in La Vernaz, with direct access to hiking trails, B&B Café-Restaurant de la Poste offers free WiFi and a shared living room with a TV and a fireplace. The restaurant serves traditional Swiss specialties.

La Vernaz Bus Stop is 10 metres away. The Veysonnaz and 4 Valleys Ski Areas are within 5 km, and it is 10 km to Sion. Transfers to and from Geneva Airport and Sion Train Station are available on request and at an additional cost.

Eventually, it is an ideal place to stay for those who enjoy and look for hiking routes – there are many. There was a home like, warm atmosphere with the very hospitable host. The room was very clean and well maintained. Plenty of free parking next to the hotel/rooms. The restaurant is small, but it has a reasonable choice. I would strongly recommend “Assiette Fitness” (steak de boeuf with salad) - at least on 24.10.2024 it was delicious. Excellent view of the valley with the city of Sion in the centre. Those who are interested should still keep in mind that the hotel is located quite high in the mountains (1034 meters above the sea level). You see Sion just “in front of you”, but in fact to reach it by car you are to drive 10 kms. There is a Swiss Post bus which goes to Sion (and from Sion) once an hour – its stop is just opposite the hotel. My view of the location is not of a negative nature – it is just the fact.

Instead of the room with two beds we reserved on booking, we got to stay in our own apartment with a separate bedroom for our son. He really apreciated that and us too. Very good dinner and breakfast ! Highly recommended also for the nice view of the valley and the mountains.

A very warm welcome. The restaurant was closed but the owner had prepared a meat and cheese platter for us as she knew we had been cycling all day. She also then made us a big salad each, provided bread and butter and apples. We were so grateful. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time at Cafe de la Poste. Catherine is a fantastic host, and she even gave us recommendations for a lovely evening walk. She's also an excellent chef! Breakfast was big and lovely. Beds were very comfy, and the views are priceless!

Great place for stay, for decent price we got very comfortable accomodation and food in restaurant. It was quiet enough despite fact that road is next to it. Two big free parkings around. Catherine and stuff were very kind.

The communication and friendliness of the owner. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the coffee and cappuccino perfect.

Older building but renovated well. Very clean and there is a small kitchen you can store your food or make hot water for coffee and tea. There's a living room with tv too. Dinner was limited but good. Breakfast good too with fresh bread, juice, yogurt, cereal, lunch meat, cheese and jams. View from our window was nice too. We had a nice stay. The price was sooooo good 👍 Thanks !
