It's an excellent place to oversleep after a long drive, close to the main road. There is a glossary store on the same street, which is convenient.

The parking is very useful, the location of the hotel is very good if you want to stay near Aviles and visit the around area.

Quaint historic hotel, superbly restored with beautiful wood staircase, floors, doors, trim and furniture, and new custom tile bathroom with modern fixtures. It also has a small but modern elevator. Our corner room included nice fully opening windows on two sides, with full height windows looking out toward the hillside and half-height, with privacy glass on the lower row of panes and blackout curtains looking over the parking lot and street, as well as fully opening windows with privacy glass in the bathroom. Parking was plentiful, though stall markings were too narrow. Breakfast was extra and included hand-crafted espressos, orange juice, small egg and sausage patties and various bread and pastries. The dining area was large and fully enclosed with windows and sliding glass doors on all 3 sides.

Location Location Location… From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were made very welcome. The car park is accessed from the adjacent petrol station, and you exit by an electronic gate. The property dates from 1901, originally a family home but you'd never know without seeing the photos in the reception area. You've an elevator and a fabulous polished wooden staircase to access the floors. Our good sized room was on the first floor, overlooking the back of the property/car park South facing. Spotless en-suite facility, a credit to Rosa. The breakfast of some quality was served in the conservatory. The walk to the beach takes about 10-15 minutes, and at the South end of the beach in the Philippe Cousteau anchor museum. Salinas has a good selection of bars and restaurants and a fabulous promenade "good for people watching". The hotel is also very handy for the railway station, it's only a 10 minutes walk to the rear of the hotel. This was good for access to Aviles, and only 1.65 euro one way. Would we recommend this hotel? Most certainly, it's a home from home.
