Clear instructions received in advance to access the property which is one of a number of rooms available to travellers in an apartment block well situated just outside the old town part of Salamanca city. Greeted by friendly helpful staff on the reception on the first floor. The room itself was very small and the en-suite was also tight on space but the place was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was also clean and fully functional with no issues. There is a definite 'hostel' feel to the place unlike some other 'hostals' I stayed in in Spain which were more like budget hotels. This was mainly due to the level of footfall outside my door which at times was very busy, Note though, I was situated very close to the main door to the rooms.

The hostel can be found at an excellent place, within walking distance of the old city center. There is an AlCampo supermarket very nearby. The room was small but very comfortable, well heated with a cosy bed. Jorge, my contact person at the hostel was very helpful and sweet. The instructions he gave beforehand were perfect and when the door appeared not to be open despite the agreement he came within 5 minutes at 1.30 am at night to help me get in. The communication was all in Spanish which for me wasn't a problem, it might have been a bit harder to get myself understood in English had I not spoken Spanish, too. I had a special request concerning the towels and the bedsheet, namely that they are rinsed with hot water only no rinsers or dryer sheets which was met as requested. I felt very well, almost at home and would definitely return.

The room was quiet and comfortable. The man at reception was very helpful. The hostal is very handy to the Old Town. I can't wait go back! The Caledonia Cafe nearby was great for fruit breakfasts and all day.

Very clean air-conditioned room, central location, balcony overlooking street. Excellent communication about entering building and useful instructions about parking. Many historic buildings and restaurants within walking distance. Supermarkets close by.
