It's a beautiful building, with stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and a wooden floor. The furniture is of simple, modern design and the bathroom very up to date. Everything was beautifully clean.

The setting is amazing: a medieval convent with a wonderful church and free parking. It is also within walking distance to the center of Saintes. The staff, particularly the young woman who helped us and spoke some English & Spanish, were very friendly. The room, though quite small, was very clean and the bed comfortable!

Loved the opportunity to stay in such an historic building - felt like a real privilege! Enjoyed the tour of the abbey (a choice of 2 lasting 60 or 90 mins, both with audio guide). These were free for guests of the hotel, but you had to ask for it.

Unique stay with a wonderful location. Although the rooms had all modern comforts, they were still sympathetic to the historic abbey building.

Such a unique and special location! Loved resting in our room and opening the window to hear musicians practicing. Great value, comfortable room.
