This was an exceptionally nice property - beautiful setting, lovely spacious and characterful rooms and exceptional grounds and surroundings. Loved the natural pool and beaches. Owner and staff could not have done more to make my stay a delight.

Restaurant, terrace and bar area very spacious and comfortable with great views Beautiful rock pool to swim in Very helpful owner (Marc) Lovely bungalows , well spaced out with hammock and deckchairs Beautiful gardens . Perfect place to relax although there are activities on offer !

Our host was extremely welcoming and helped organise days out etc. The natural pool is safe for a gentle swim and there is great snorkelling as soon as you leave its shelter. Food was excellent and the gardens are a delight.

Very big and comfortable bungalow, everything is good. The view from the hotel and restaurant is amazing. Marc is the most welcoming host, he helped us planning our activities and trips. You can rent scooters or 4x4 to get around. There is free kayak, we used it 2 times. Marc also offers snorkeling gears, there are some fishes and corals to see in the sea around the hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at Samaria Lodge! The host Marc and his team made us feel very welcome, comfortable and provided everything we needed. The location is stunning and special. We saw whales swimming past on both days that we were there. Marc’s recommendations for our day explorations were perfect. Loved it all! Thank you, Marc and team!

Perfect location out of the way of the tourist town. The host goes out of his way to ensure you enjoy your stay. There's a peaceful garden and private natural harbour. An hour's walk away is a beautiful waterfall that is great for swimming and is so far from tourists it is not even signposted. This is the most comfortable of the "bungalow" style accommodation that is common in Madagascar. A mini coral reef on the doorstep with free snorkeling and kayaking was especially good. This is one of the most peaceful spots you could find.
