Villa Castoria was the perfect place for our 2 day stay in St Germain en Laye. Sadly we had a funeral to attend, but the location of the BnB was just right for us: a short walk to the church, and to the centre of St Germain. We loved the security of the house, set inside a pleasant garden, with car parking, and the calm at all times. Our room was large and very comfortable with a good bathroom and lots of storage space. Stan was the perfect host and prepared an excellent fresh breakfast for us. He was always available but never intrusive. We enjoyed talking to him about the house, his background, his interest in music and St Germain in general. We would love to come back.

House in a tranquil location and yet close to all the facitilities. Excellent large room with loads of storage. Brilliant breakfasts prettily presented. Communal eating was nice to talk with other guests. Stan and his wife could not have done more to make our stay more memorable.

Villa Castoria is a lovely old house, and is beautifully furnished, spacious and bright with lovely garden views. Very quiet and peaceful, with offroad secure parking. Continental breakfast, fresh fruit. The host speaks excellent English and could not have been more helpful. St Germain en Laye is a very attractive town, and RER local train into Chatelet in Paris (also connects to a train to CDG airport, but after talking to our host we opted to drive there).

Superb. Charming and very helpful host. Excellent spacious, quiet room with terrace. First class breakfast in beautiful salon. The tranqil location is perfect for Paris and Versaiiles. We're most grateful for the opportunity and hope to return.

+ The host is excellent and shows the two best qualities expected from a host: very helpful, and very discreet. He's always there when you need him, but he never feels intrusive and respects your privacy. + The breakfast was really, really good (fresh and delicious bread from the bakery! freshly homemade orange juice!), but it's not a buffet: the host prepares it for you beforehand. The quantity was good though and I could make it to lunch without feeling hungry at all. + Close to the RER station of St-Germain-en-Laye and very close to the castle park.

A great stay if you want to be in that area of Paris. Calm, close to the city, close to a park. An excellent breakfast which we enjoyed. A very considerate host. It was a pleasure to stay.
