Country houses Overview

Situated in a scenic wooded garden, Thistle House Guest House overlooks Loch Fyne to Inveraray and its famous castle. Free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking are provided in this spacious Victorian country house.
Views of Loch Fyne or the garden are featured in each room at Thistle House, as well as a flat-screen TV, en suite bathroom and a hospitality tray. Rooms are individually named after local clans of the surrounding west coast of Scotland.
A full Scottish breakfast is served in the dining room, which overlooks the loch and Inveraray. Lighter options are also available and all produce is locally sourced. Guests can also relax in the lounge which features a log fire, and a selection of books and information on the local area.
The town of Inveraray is just a 25-minute drive and features an 18th-century castle and a Maritime Heritage Museum. Quad biking, archery and clay shooting can be enjoyed in Blairmore, which is just under 40 minutes by car.

This room features views over Loch Fyne, across to Inveraray or of the woodland garden which boasts an variety of birds, red squirrels, and the occasional deer. The room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a picnic blanket, and complimentary sea kelp soaps.

Deluxe Triple Suite - enter dates to see room photos

Spacious, airy room equipped with king-size bed and a single bedroom with adjoining door. The en suite shower room facilities for both rooms is located off the single bedroom. Loch and garden views can be admired from the rooms which are provided with a hospitality tray, fluffy white towels and complimentary sea kelp toiletries. Each room has a Freeview TV / DVD player, hairdryer, picnic blanket and access to free Wi-Fi. The central heating has individual controls.

This room features picturesque views across Loch Fyne to Inveraray Castle. A king-size bed is provided, as well as free Wi-Fi and an en suite bathroom.

Lovely view from a gorgeous house on Loch Fyne Comfortable room and lovely fire in resident's lounge to welcome us - with tea and biscuits provided as we arrived Great breakfast

We arrived at Thistle House in the afternoon where the hostess greeted us with all the information we needed, a tour around the beautiful house and coffee in the lounge at the fireplace. We immediately felt very welcome and comfortable. The rooms are beautiful decorated, the beds are very comfortable and the view from the rooms are the best! Such an amazing scenery! Breakfast the next day was also very tasty and the two hostess' did their very best to make sure we had all we needed - and more! They even provided a birthday flag for our breakfast table since we were celebrating a birthday. We would all love to come back!

Everything was amazing. The house is beautiful, right in front of the lake, the bedroom super comfortable and clean, but the best was the breakfast, all freshly prepared, and of course the attention of the owners, always willing to help. 100% recommended.
