Amazing stay!! The food was seriously incredible!! Such lovely friendly owners, family run property. The coffee tour was great! So hospitable, even greeted us with fresh juice after our hike, and sent us off in the morning with a snack!

Mery and her family were fantastic! They served all guests a glass of passionfruit juice and went all out with dinner; a wood fired brushetta-type dish, spaghetti w/ chicken, roasted veggies, and fried fish. The cooking was restaurant quality and was well needed after my third day on the trail. Breakfast was also both large and fresh. Would definitely come back!

Mery’s refugie is a total bless. The shower was actually running hot water! The bed was comfortable and warm, and both the dinner and breakfast prepared by Mery were the best food I’ve had in Peru! The fried trucha and the homemade guacamole were god’s food. For such a cost you really cannot find a better performance! Highly recommend!

Our stay with Mery and Rosalio was wonderful. After our second full day of the Salkantay trek, it was amazing to rest and recouperate in their beautiful paradise in Lucmabamba. The value they provide is extraordinary – with your accomodation also comes dinner, breakfast, snacks, coffee, tea, and fresh orange juice. Before we left, Mery told us the whole story about how they started the hostel (ask her about it!) and bid us farewell with hugs. If you're in the area, stay here!
