Hotel Overview

Located on top of Kaunispää Mountain, Star Arctic Hotel is situated in Saariselka in the Finnish Lapland Region. Each room features large windows to view the surrounding nature and if lucky, the Northern Lights during winter. A shared sauna is also available.

“Amazing hotel, beautiful northern lights, delicious hot chocolate”

Everything was so clean! The property was situated at the top of the fell which allowed us to see the Northern lights most night, the communal area was very welcoming and friendly, we had hot chocolate most nights and played games. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive! Highly recommend.

Staff and location amazing. They called when yeh northern lights were out -as we asked. They also gave us a pack up breakfast as we had to leave very early in the morning.

The location is fantastic. The staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. The aurora rooms were truly fantastic. The hotel staff operating the hotel taxi were especially helpful and nice. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped the usual amenities. The hero is obviously the snow and the views. The breakfast spread was great and set us up for full day of adventures. We would definitely come back to this hotel!

The property is located in top of Kaunispaa fell far from light pollution and is a perfect spot of aurora enthusiast. Staff were excellent and would help us anytime to make our stay pleasant. Saariselka is a small place and Star Arctic is a perfect choice to spend some quiet time. Inari is an hour away and is an easy drive. They arrange good reindeer farm experience and had an excellent breakfast spread.

It's was great location, the room is nice and cosy. We can see northern light infront of our balcony. The breakfast was great and many choices. The receptionist lady, Jamie was very helpful and give alot of informations that I need during our stay. There's no phone in the room, however what/whenever I asked for something thru the message in booking they will reply immediately.
