Lovely proprietor. Very welcoming. Recently taken over lodge and camping ground and now in process of making improvements. Our chalet was small but nice. Clean linen. Nice hand-wash. Clean. Could be improved with coffee/tea making facilities in the room, a tv and some comfortable seating/sofa. We only stayed 1 night so suited us but if staying longer definitely would want jug and coffee/tea and maybe a small fridge and better seating. This may be in pipe line as they gave us complimentary continental breakfast because of renovations. Enjoyed hot pool. Very handy to hospital, lake and Kuirau Park. Chalets would suit small family. Great for those on a budget.

100% loved it Treen and the staff were so great in welcoming our school group. Yes she's in the middle of renovations but hey we had a ball great rooms,, kitchen she was accommodating for us and we just had a ball. Sorry people we've already booked again in there for our group for next year ❤️😁

The chalet was very cozy, with a neat bathroom. We did not have time to try out the pool. The hosts also provided many good recommendations for the region. And the free breakfast was basic but right what was needed for the start of the day!

Nice and cosy 2-storey chalet in a convenient location in the city center (walking distance from downtown). Haven't tried the breakfast (because only available between 8 and 9 am).

Warm welcome from the owner. Easy checkin by code. Familiar atmosphere. Modern and newly renovated accommodation in a wooden hut style. Very comfortable bed and large modern bathroom. Good location, we could cycle straight into town through the thermal park. Although right on the street, it was quiet at night and the garden view out the back of the room was nice. Value for money was excellent, this made up for the minor inconveniences.

Really nice place to stay. Recently/currently going through some renovations but the Family Cabin we stayed in was lovely. Very new bathroom, the loft bed upstairs was very extremely comfortable with crisp, clean sheets/linen. Nice, lush towels! Bunk downstairs looked comfortable - robustly built, didn’t hear any squeaks or anything in the night. Had a simple but nice breakfast included - coffee, toast, a few spreads. Thermal pool outside that we didn’t use but a nice bonus. Not right in the city which we liked - still felt walkable into the main drag though, cutting through the park and past the public geothermal pools.

Great location. The staff were exceptionally helpful and gave the best advice on what to see and do. And we loved the geothermal heated pool. Highly recommend.
