The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice and warm, but the hot pools were 'a bit old' and require some maintenance (which they acknowledged in a note, so will probably work on in the near future, although the message looked 'old' as well). Motel seems to embrace green credentials.

Excellent location, huge room with all the facilities. They provide a bottle of milk a day, which is very good, the milk is local. Is there no breakfast? But there are a lot of cafes and restaurants very close by. Very close to the lake. Very close to everything interesting. There is a large swimming pool. Two swimming pools with thermal water. The staff are excellent, polite and helpful. They can make reservations for everything. So I advise anyone who wants to go to dinner at the Maori village to contact the hotel in advance.

Great location walking distance to restaurants and park. At check in we met Daisy who was lovely. A lot if thought has gone into the apartment , very well equipped , clean and comfy . Pool onsite and mineral thermal water baths too. We booked number 10 which was a studio with outside patio area and hot tub. This was amazing . Kitchen had everything you need for cooking . The personal note to us from staff wishing us a nice stay was a nice thought. Highly recommend this place.

Great location and walking distance to the city centre. Right across the road is a fabulous day spa. Would definitely stay here again. Staff were really friendly and very helpful.

We chose this accommodation for its location, close to the lake front and “Eat Street” but were blown away by the friendly highly engaged staff. The room was just what we were hoping for during our winter escape, comfortable and warm. The heated 37* outdoor pool was a popular bonus for many with families as were the 2 more private pools (40*) with the adults. Good bathroom with incredible hot water, good kitchen with microwave, fridge and cooktop. Heated by a central radiator and a heat pump. Dining table and chairs made the room function and spacious. BBQ and bike storage and recycling on site.
