Property is a little tired, the floor in my room was VERY creaky (just hoped there wasn’t a bedroom below me) & the lock to my room needed attention as the key stuck every time I used it and the mechanism was very loose in the door, which didn’t instil me with security confidence. Only other gripe was that there was black mould starting to come through at the very bottom of the wall in bathroom, opposite the toilet. other than that the room was spotless, well made up with plenty of tea/coffee/milk, plenty of good towels the bathroom other than mentioned was very clean and new looking. I only had a short interaction with the staff/(owner maybe?) and that experience was helpful and pleasant. I didn’t have breakfast as I don’t eat it so cannot report on that. Would definitely stay here again, was good for the price (£56)

Shame there was no restaurant for breakfast in the morning. The staff we did see were polite but not extraordinary. We only needed a base as we were leaving early in the morning

It’s in an isolated town. Quiet , clean and food shops are close by. I just loved it

The Hotel has its own car park - free to guests. A double room cost only £64 - very reasonable. The owner greeted us warmly and offered to carry our cases up to our room. The Hotel is spotless throughout. There is a games room with a snooker table and a lounge area with a bar. The room itself was spacious with a very comfortable bed and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits available. The ensuite was spotless also and there were some lovely toiletries to use. The standard late check out was much appreciated following a long journey the previous day. The other staff were very friendly too. We were even treated to a lovely cup of coffee and cakes before we set off the next day. All in all, we would highly recommend Rothwell House Hotel. We will definitely stay there again.

Exceeded my expectations for customer service and the person who gave their EVERYTHING to ensure they made my stay in the hotel, being to the best it could've possibly been. We were very happy with our stay at OYO Rothwell House Hotel. It is in a perfect location for exploring the town and area and we had a quiet room on the first floor. The room was very clean and comfortable - the furniture all looked new and parts of it looked freshly painted. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was spotless. The bathroom was a good size, as was the shower cubicle - the shower was lovely! Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets provided. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Extremely good value for money.

We were greeted by friendly staff. There was ample parking. The hotel was clean and tidy. Within walking distance of the village shops.
