Excellent location and very nice staff. Great breakfast with a view of a citrus garden. Nice lobby bar to chill out for a drink and great roof terrace with views of Aventino and Trastevere.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Franceso, located in the heart of Trastevere. Stepping out the front door, we found a plethora of amazing restaurants right at our doorstep. It served as a great base for exploring all the main tourist attractions. The hotel features a beautiful rooftop bar, and the bed was extremely comfortable, with the room being just the right size. We opted for the breakfast, which cost 10 euros, but I would recommend skipping it as it wasn’t very good. If you’re interested in flea markets, the Porta Portese Markets take place every Sunday just around the corner, it’s a huge flea market if that’s your thing!

We liked breakfast which was served to us on a tray with a choice of three options. We thought that the staff made a great effort to make us feel welcome. They were friendly and professional. The location suited us well as we were close to bus routes.

Bedding was immaculate. Bathroom large but poorly lit. Difficult to get ready in the morning. Fridge wasn't cold. Elevator was very slow to respond. Rooftop bar and restaurant were excellent. Staff was amazing!

The location is convenient but does not make up for the nonchalant attitude of the staff, including what we believed to be the manager, who barely said “hello” and nothing else. We had informed them beforehand that this was a birthday trip and asked for any special service they could provide, but they didn’t even respond. The room was clean but tiny and with lots of marks on the walls. When we received a flower delivery they did not bother to put the flowers in a vase so when we got back to the hotel the bouquet was sagging. Generally really poor service. I would not recommend this hotel.

Convenient location to sites and restaurants. Rooftop bar was especially good. Cocktails and view were excellent.
