We stayed at the Atlante Star to mark a significant wedding anniversary. We let the hotel know in advance and they very kindly gave us a room upgrade and complimentary welcome drinks on the rooftop terrace. The hotel's location is fabulous for the Vatican, for local buses, is a 5 min walk to the metro station for trains to Termini, where you can connect to the airports, and is 2 min walk from Borgo Pia, a pedestrianised street with many good trattorie. The roof terrace has fabulous views of St Peter's and the city, although drinks there are quite expensive. The hotel's buffet-style breakfast was really delicious and all the staff are very attentive. Our room was a little dark but that, plus the massive bed and extremely comfortable mattress, meant restful nights. On check-out, we took the hotel's airport transfer which was competitively priced and efficient.

The location is just perfect, everything is just a half an hour walk and the area is very pleasant, full of bars and options to eat out.

The hotel was super clean, there is refurbishment ongoing on site, was quiet when I stayed. Staff is amazing and extremely helpful! The location is great for walkers.

Bed was very comfortable. The restaurant and roof terrace were exceptional and the main feature of the hotel. Bathroom was fine with good shower. Housekeeping very good. The other main positive was the excellent location in an area with many restaurants and bars and a short distance to Vatican sites.

Great location, a short walk from St Peter's basilica and very close to main attractions. Incredibly safe area, I felt safe walking on my own even at night. Some great restaurants with locals just around the corner.
